SCHOOL RE-OPENS MONDAY
by C Quigley - Friday, 10 September 2010, 07:56 PM

Rangiora High School will re-open as normal on Monday 13 September. The school has not sustained any damage as a result of the Canterbury earthquake.

The Board of Trustees was not able to fully staff the school in the week following the earthquake. Many of our staff live in Christchurch and Kaiapoi. The Board was concerned that staff and students were given sufficient time to deal with the effects of the earthquake. Many had damage to their own homes or the homes of extended family members.

Please note:

  • The Ngata and Lydiard House ski trip on Sunday 12 September is now postponed.
  • The Year 12 Tourism trip on Monday 13 September and Tuesday 14 September is now postponed.
  • The PPTA has announced that its Canterbury members will not participate in the nation-wide strike scheduled for Wednesday 15 September. Rangiora High School will open as normal on Wednesday 15 September.
