Our "Tight- Knit" group meet at lunchtimes on Thursdays in Rakahuri 1 by the school hall foyer. We provide needles and wool but you are welcome to bring your own project as well. Bring your lunch and a friend and come and have a go. Everyone welcome.

If you have not done this and applied on the paper subject selection only, I will not receive your application. If you want help locating this application please see me in the Gateway Office, opposite Gym 3 today at interval.

Congratulations to Lydiard House on its win in the House Choir Competition last Friday. Other placings (2nd-6th) were: Rutherford, Ngata, Sheppard, Hillary, Mansfield.
No change in overall House rankings:

Board of Trustees student Election
Student representative election for the board of trustees 2020
· Interested in standing for the Board of Trustees, watch the New Zealand School Trustees module 'How do I become a student trustee?' . This will help you can gain the knowledge and skills to prepare you for the role as a school trustee.
· The current student representative Blake Benny is holding a meeting for all interested candidates on Tuesday 20 August at lunchtime in the Hall. This is an opportunity to hear about the role here at Rangiora High School.
Nominations are invited for the election of one student representative to the board of trustees for 2020. More information can be obtained from Ms Andersen or Mrs Stewart
Nomination forms can be obtained from the school student office.
Nominations close at noon on the 30th August 2019 and should be accompanied by the candidates’ statement.
The voting roll is open for inspection at the school student office and can be viewed during the hours the office is open.
There will also be a list of candidates’ names for inspection, as they come to hand, on the Library and student office notice boards.

NASDA auditions for 2020
ARA have extended the date to apply for NASDA for next year until 30 August. Auditions will be held 13 - 15 September, although you can submit a video instead.

Civil Construction job
If you are interested in a cadetship starting 2 December 2019, see the Careers staff for more information. You will need your restricted Driver's Licence as a minimum.
Applications close end of September, but you need to do some Work Experience first to see if it is right for you.
