A professional photographer will be in the Hall on Tuesday 19 February and Thursday 21 February to take individual photos of all students and staff. These individual photos are for KAMAR and for the student ID cards. The roster of when your photo is on has been distributed to staff (for classroom display) and is on Moodle.
YEAR 11-13 STUDENTS: Please excuse yourself from your subject class 5 minutes before your photo time. Go straight to the A Quad deck to gather with your form class for your individual photo. If you are in a PE class, you will need to change in to your school uniform for the photo.
YEAR 9-10 STUDENTS: Your subject teacher will escort you to the A Quad deck 5 minutes before your photo time. Subject teachers will help with marshalling students as they enter the Hall from A Quad.
STAFF: Individual photos of all staff are also taken on these two days, on a pop-in basis. Note, Form Teachers are NOT required at individual student photos.
Find out about professional engineering
Students with their parents are invited to a debate on 'the future of the engineer' on Wednesday 20 February at the Engineering School, University of Canterbury, Creyke Road entrance.
Engineers are highly valued as innovators and problem solvers as they create the technologies that will take us into the future. In today’s fast-paced environment their role is continuously changing. In this debate we will hear some of our regional leaders discuss what they think this will mean for tomorrow’s engineers.
Go to www.engineeringnz.org then Learning & events then Guthrie Debate to find out more about professional engineering and register your attendance intentions.
This would appeal to Year 11 and upwards and as there may be alcohol present we ask that students are accompanied by an adult.
